Situated on the A6187
the Sheffield to Castleton Road, Hillfoot Farm is half a mile from the
village of Hathersage itself and is within easy access of Chesterfield
(of crooked spire fame) and the picturesque
villages of Bakewell, Castleton and Eyam (the plague village
of ancient time).
Chatsworth, the home of the Duke of Devonshire, is a most pleasant drive away. There, can be seen, many examples of the famous 'Blue John' stone. The mines are still worked and can be seen at Castleton. Fishing, pony trekking, walking, golf and swimming (during the summer months) are some of the activities in the area together with climbing on Stanedge Rocks. The Parish Church of Hathersage is well worth a visit; young visitors will like to go to the grave of Robin Hood's stout henchman 'Little John'. satisfy your needs for an enjoyable stay amidst the lovely scenery of the Peak District For bookings and inquiries please contact: Mrs J.
